Cheap Flights from Minneapolis

Minneapolis St Paul Airport

The City of Minneapolis is one of Minnesota’s twin cities, the larger one in fact, and the most populated in the state. Minneapolis is well known for its wealth of natural waterways (the city contains 20 lakes and wetlands, in addition to numerous creeks and waterfalls).

The Twin Cities region is now one of the predominant spots for the technology industry. It has the fifth-highest concentration of Fortune 500 companies in the United States, and is considered a primary business center bridge between Seattle and Chicago, both of which are national economic powerhouses.

Flights from MSP

Minneapolis-Saint Paul International is the joint civil-military public airport that serves the state. It is the largest and busiest airport in the Upper Midwest, though not surpassing Chicago’s O’Hare. On a ranking scale, it has been deemed the 17th busiest in the United States and 43rd busiest on the planet.

135 nonstop, direct flights are offered to domestic and international destinations across the globe (120 for the former and 15 for the latter). The only cities that offer a higher number of nonstop trips are Denver and Atlanta, giving Minneapolis-Saint Paul the third highest direct flights per capita.

Only a small portion of the airport is actually located in Minneapolis, with the majority of the facility situated inside the limits of Fort Snelling. The airport has two terminal buildings, Lindberg and Humphrey, and is connected to downtown via a light rail system. Cheap flights from MSP are available domestically through Delta, American Airlines, US Airways, Southwest Airlines, United, Alaska Airlines, airTran, and Sun Country. International tourists can board flights via Aeromexico, WestJet, and Endeavor Air.
