Flights to Atlantic City

Atlantic City International is the central airport for the municipality, and it is located just 10 miles from the downtown core. Used for both military and public transport, the airport sits directly next to William J. Hughes Technical Center, which is the Federal Aviation Administration’s primary airplane research and testing facility. This has also a designated landing site for NASA’s Space Shuttle.

Atlantic City International is a main flight hub for Spirit, Republic, and United Airlines, the latter of which recently launched nonstop trips to Chicago O’Hare via its regional affiliate United Express.

The airport consistently transports 1.5 million domestic and international passengers, a figure that is expected to rise markedly if the plans for major terminal expansions are successful. There are only two airliners that offer direct, nonstop flights to Atlantic City, United, and Spirit Airlines.

What to Do in America’s Favorite Playground

Every year, swarms of tourists take to the city’s casino atmosphere in full swing. The most popular spots include Borgata (known best for its massive, 85-table poker room), including Caesars, the Golden Nugget, and Harrah’s Resort, to name a few. Visitors interested in stretching their dollars will appreciate the large amount of penny slots located in the latter.
