Flights to Bali

Bali Denpasar (also known as Ngurah Rai International) is the province’s central airport, located in the capital city of the same name. It is the third busiest in Indonesia after Juanda and Soekarno-Hatta International, which are located in Surabaya and Jakarta respectively. Denpasar transported over 12 million domestic and international passengers last year. It recently added two new terminals, bumping the airport’s traffic capacity up to 25 million, which it is estimated to receive by 2025.

Ngurah Rai International has undergone a number of expansion projects in recent years, as well as additional proposals to add a north-south runway to accommodate its growing flight traffic. Plans are currently underway to expand the main runway to a distance of 3,600 meters, which would allow aircraft as large as the Boeing 747 to takeoff without weight problems.

Despite the incorporation of more international carriers, there are currently no direct flights to Bali from the United States. The leading foreign airliners include Korean Air, KLM, ANA, Cathay Pacific, Qatar Airways, Delta, Jetstar, and Thai Airways.
