Organising a trip to the Big Apple? Have you completed your search for flights to New York? Now, let Skyscanner find you great deals on New York Hotels.

Undoubtedly one of the most exciting cities in the world, New York is full to bursting with people from all walks of life. Iconic structures like the Empire State and Chrysler building tower over the yellow-taxi speckled streets while New York bagels, delis and hot dog stands vie for space on their corners.  From hip bars in Greenwich Village and cool music venues on the Lower East Side to Time Square and Broadway with their dazzling shows, New York is like a Hollywood movie set.

New York hotels are the most expensive in the world, however, bargains can be found. Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, The Bronx and Staten Island make up New York. Manhattan boasts the most expensive rooms in town but if you venture out to Queens you’ll find some budget friendly places - and with a subway that runs all night, the city is just moments away. New Jersey is only a 15 minute ferry ride from Manhattan, Brooklyn also offers cheaper sleeps and Staten Island is handy for those flying from Newark Airport. The SoHotel in Little Italy is the oldest hotel in New York, built near the spot where George Washington took control of the city during the Revolution. It’s pretty good value too. The St Regis on 5th Avenue lays claim to being New York’s most luxurious hotel, with 24 hour butler service – if you can afford it!

If New York were a person, they would always be the last to leave the party. Whether it’s shopping in Bloomingdales, picnicking in Central Park or discovering art at the MET or the Guggenheim; catching a show on Broadway, hopping to Ellis Island to admire America’s bastion of freedom, the Statue of Liberty; this city really never ever sleeps.

Did you know..?

Take a peek through the gates of Pomander Walk, on the Upper West Side, and you’ll see a vision of a London street with beautiful wooden shuttered houses huddled beneath towering skyscrapers. It’s a secret sanctuary in the big city.

Tucked away at 520 Madison Avenue is a surprising piece of European history. Five sections of the Berlin Wall dazzle with their street art painted by German artists.

Paradise does exist in New York. Simply take the elevator to the rooftop of the Rockefeller Centre and there, almost in the clouds, you’ll find five breath-taking hidden gardens.
