Air Italy flights & tickets

Air Italy began as an airline in 2005 with a flight connecting passengers in Turin, Italy to Budapest, Hungary. Throughout the course of its time as an independent airline, Air Italy Airline serviced flights to Italy, Africa, the Indian Ocean and the Caribbean, and leisure destinations around the world. In 2011, Air Italy announced it was merging with Meridiana, with headquarters in Olbia, Italy, and would thereafter operate all domestic and international flights out of the Meridiana brand. Although your flight on Air Italy is commercially considered to be a Meridiana flight, the flight itself will be operated using Air Italy aircrafts and flight crews. If you are interested in flying on Air Italy, be sure to search for Meridiana flights on Skyscanner for the best prices on the planet.

How To Check In

Air Italy passengers are encouraged to take special note of check-in schedules on domestic and international flights. For all domestic flights, check-in opens 2 hours before the flight takeoff and closes 35 minutes before departure. For all international routes, the airline suggests contacting them directly or visiting their website to understand the specifics of check-in times, as they vary according to airport and destination. In general, it is recommended that international passengers make plans to check-in over 2 to 3 hours in advance of a flight departure. Web and mobile check-in is also available, from seven days and up to two hours before a flight departure.

Baggage Allowance

Flight passengers on Meridiana Airlines are allowed one carry-on aboard the aircraft, not to exceed 8 kg in weight. Furthermore, passengers are allowed one personal item which will be marked with a red label for identification purposes. Allowances for checked baggage vary widely according to the type of ticket fare purchased, airport city and destination. The airline encourages all passengers to familiarize themselves with their specific requirements for checking baggage before arriving at the airport to avoid unnecessary fees and charges for overweight or additional baggage over the accepted limit.
