24-Hour Allegiant Air Flights Cancellation Policy

Allegiant Air understands that sometimes life happens and you need to change your travel plans. This is why you can claim a full refund for flights cancelled within 24 hours of purchasing your ticket. As long as your flight is at least one week away from the time of your booking, you can claim your refund through their online portal.

After 24 hours, all purchases are non-refundable and a fee of $75 per personal will apply to any changes within 7 days of travel.

Allegiant Air: Loyalty Programs (myAllegiant Rewards), Discounts and Miles Promotions

Allegiant Air passengers can earn loyalty points with myAllegiant Rewards. In order to participate in myAllegiant Rewards, you have to have a co-branded credit card. This credit card would be issued by Bank of America. With the new Allegiant World MasterCard, you can earn 15,000 bonus points (equal to $150) toward your next trip after you spend your first $1,000 (within the first 90 days). You will also earn 3 points per $1 spent on Allegiant purchases for air, hotel, car rental and attractions. You’ll earn 2 points per $1 spent on qualifying dining and you’ll earn 1 point per $1 spent on all other purchases. Points can be redeemed at Allegiant.com. There is a $59 annual fee for the card. For new card holders, there is an introductory 0% APR for the first 12 bill cycles for balance transfers.

With no blackout dates or locations on redemptions, you can use your points on flights, hotel stays, car rentals and destination attractions that have been booked through Allegiant.com. This includes taxes and fees. You’ll also receive priority boarding and one commentary alcoholic beverage on every Allegiant flight you go on.

When you purchase a vacation package from Allegiant with four or more hotel nights or seven or more car rental days on the same itinerary, you will receive Buy One Get One (BOGO). This purchase must be made with a myAllegiant Member Services Agent. BOGO cannot be purchased on Allegiant.com. You will receive your confirmation by email. You won’t receive paper tickets in the mail.

myAllegiant points cannot be combined or transferred from multiple accounts. The only exception is with a member who has a secondary card whose points will accrue to the primary member’s account. As long as you are an Allegiant World MasterCard holder in good-standing and you use your card for a retail purchase at least once every 12 months, your points will remain in your account.

Login to your myAllegiant account 24/7 to check your point status. Click ‘Points’ to find out how many points you have. If you don’t have access to the Internet or prefer to speak to a person, you can contact myAllegiant Member Services. You should plan for your points to be credited to your account within 6 weeks of your Allegiant World MasterCard account billing cycle has ended.

Allegiant Air: How to Check In, Seating Assignment, Leg Room and Other Fees

If you want to upgrade to Priority Access, you will be able to board the plane before general boarding. This will cost you between $4 and $12. You should plan to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before your scheduled departure. You will have to go through airport security and should be at the boarding gate at least one hour before your flight. You must present identification. Minors may be requested to present a birth certificate as proof of age. Giant seats and leg room options are available for an additional fee.

You do not need to confirm your reservation prior to departure.

It is recommended that you reserve seats in advance to ensure that your family or party is seated together. Availability cannot be guaranteed. There is a fee to reserve specific seats. Exit row seating is not available to families with children under the age of 15.

You can check your battery-powered mobility device at the ticket counter or gate at no additional charge. All removable parts should be stowed in an overhead bin or under the seat in front of you. You may have to remove the battery from the wheelchair or mobility device and package it separately (if it is spillable or not securely attached). Battery cables should be properly labeled and detailed instructions for disconnecting and reconnecting the battery should be provided.

Allegiant Air: Baggage Allowance and Fees

Passengers can save money when they reserve and check carry-on bags in advance. One personal item can be brought on board at no extra charge. Carry-on bags and checked luggage come with fees.

Allegiant Air offers a reservation process that is setup like ala carte. Passengers pay for what they want. You’ll select your seat at the time you make your reservation, paying somewhere between $0 and $80, depending on what you choose. Trip Flex allows you to protect your travel purchase and avoid most changes and cancellation fees. Flight only or car packages are $8 to $20 per person, per segment. Hotel packages or itineraries with products are $20 to $40 per person.

If your reservation is cancelled within 24 hours of your initial booking and you did not book within one week of your flight’s departure, you will receive a full refund. Cancelled reservations that include Trip Flex will credit your account minus carrier charges, TripFlex and booking fees. What’s left will be applied as a credit (non-refundable) that can be used for future Allegiant travel. Passengers who do not have Trip Flex and cancel a reservation with be charged a $75 fee per passenger, per segment. Cancellation fees, carrier charges and booking fees will be deducted from your refund. The remaining funds are applied as a non-refundable credit to use for future travel. No-shows and cancellations made within 7 days of flight departure will not receive a credit.

If you make your purchase through the Allegiant call center, you will be charged a booking fee of $14.99. Passengers who have their boarding pass printed out (only available at some domestic airport locations) pay a $5 fee per boarding pass. You can avoid paying this fee by printing your own boarding pass or using the Allegiant mobile app to get a digital boarding pass. Check-in closes 45 minutes before departure.

Bags over 40 pounds, but under 70 pounds carry a fee of $50. Overweight bags between 71 pounds and 100 pounds carry a fee of $75. Oversized bags that are bigger of 80 linear inches (height + width + depth) cost an additional $75. Each passenger can only have 2 bags in the cabin (one personal item and one carry-on item). Personal items include purses, briefcases, laptops, small backpacks, small cameras and food containers. Personal items cannot exceed 7 inches x 15 inches x 16 inches. Items should be stored underneath the seat in front of you. Carry-on items are roll-aboard bags, garment bags and tote bags and should exceed 9 inches x 14 inches x 22 inches. Carry-on fees range from $10 to $75. Oversized personal items and carry-ons will carry a $50 to $75 fee.

Allegiant Air: Service On Board, In-flight Entertainment and Meals

Passengers can purchase snacks while onboard. Prices range from $2 to $7. Juice, water and alcoholic beverages are available for purchase. There is also a large variety of snacks available for purchase. You cannot bring your own alcoholic beverage onboard.

You can use your laptop, personal movie player, music player and other approved devices onboard the aircraft; however, there is no WiFi available. These items should not be out, on or in-use during taxi, flight or landing. They should be properly stored under the seat in front of you. Portable radios, cell phones and other similar devices should not be used for any reason during the flight, even if those devices have been put into ‘airplane’ mode, because they may interfere with the navigation device on the aircraft.

Allegiant Air: Child Fairs/Fees, Minor Service Guidelines

A child passenger is described as someone who is between the age of 15 days and 14-years-old. Children who are 14 or younger must be accompanied by a passenger that is at least 15-years-old and is on the same reservation. There is no unaccompanied minor service with Allegiant Air. Children between 15 days and 2-years-old can be booked as a ticketed passenger seated in an FAA-approved car seat or can ride on the lap of an adult on the same reservation (proof of age is required).

It is recommended that children are seated in a car seat during the flight, but if this is not an option for you, the car seat can be checked as baggage. Alternatively, it can be checked at the gate and retrieved at the gate or loading bridge at the destination (no charge). Strollers can be checked in as checked baggage at the ticket counter or the gate check during boarding (no charge).

Fare-paying passengers traveling with a child can bring a diaper bag onboard at no extra charge and without it counting as a personal or carry-on item.

Allegiant Air: Pet Policy

Domestic cats and dogs (live) can ride in the passenger cabin of the aircraft in a soft-sided carrier for flights within the 48 contiguous states for $100 each. This fee does not apply to service animals who are riding with passengers with disabilities. Carriers can be no larger than 9 inches x 16 inches x 19 inches. There is a 2-pet limit per carrier. Pets should be able to stand and turn comfortably inside the carrier.
