Blue Air is a Romanian airline with its headquarters in Bucharest and it has main hubs in Henri Coanda International Airport and Turin Airport. Blue Airlines currently flies to 48 destinations in 12 European countries. In 2015, the airline reached a milestone by carrying over two million passengers in 12 months. The airline was founded in December 2004 and largely focused on its international routes after its domestic routes were discontinued. In 2015, the airline resumed its domestic operations with flights between Bucharest and Iasi and Bucharest and Cluj.

With a total of 25 new routes announced for 2016, the airline is close to carrying three million passengers by the end of the year. Blue Air Airlines hires some of the most experienced pilots and flight attendants in Romania. Most pilots that fly Blue airplanes have more than 10,000 flying hours and have successfully operated flights to destinations all over the world.

Blue Air's fleet consists of modern Boeing aircrafts throughout the 737 series with seating capacities between 126 and189 passengers. Over the last 11 years, Blue Air has been running regularly scheduled flights to over 70 destinations in Belgium, Cyprus, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, Spain and the United Kingdom. Blue Air also operates charter flights on behalf of tour operators and holiday destinations throughout Europe and West Asia.

Blue Air Meals, Snacks, and Drinks

Blue’s flights offer its passengers a choice between six delicious meals that they can be pre-purchased up to 14 hours before departure. Choose from a traditional Romanian breakfast or the classic English breakfast. For lunch, passengers can enjoy a choice of turkey with cheese sauce, vita peanuts or vita with plum sauce.

Blue Air Shuttle Service

Blue Air Airlines allows passengers to purchase a transfer coach service. The transfer is available at Constanta and Brasov Otopeni Airport and back. All vehicles come equipped with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, an audio-visual system and generous space between seats for luggage.

Blue Air Business Lounge

Passengers flying Business Class can take advantage of the Blue Air Business Lounge inside the Henri Coanda International Airport. Guests can enjoy the mini bar, Wi-Fi access, reading material and shower and toilet facilities.
