Cobalt flights & tickets

When Cyprus Airways, the national flag carrier of the Mediterranean Island of Cyprus ceased operations after falling bankrupt in early 2016, a new era of air travel was born in the area. Immediately following the collapse of the 69 year old company, plans emerged to replace the failed airline and rejuvenate the airline industry in the country. These plans resulted in the creation of a brand new airline with an innovative new look and business model, designed to thrive in the modern world of air travel.

Cobalt Aero Airlines, which operated its first flight in the summer of 2016, is in its infancy as the brand new flag carrier of the country of Cyprus. The company embraces the low cost carrier model designed to bring Cyprus to all corners of the world through affordable flights.

Cobalt Aero flies to the UK, Ireland, France and Greece, with flying rights throughout the EU and South and East of Europe. The company also plans to encourage the use of Cyprus as an international hub, connecting flights from Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. With plans to introduce flights to Israel, Lebanon, Russia, Iran and Egypt, and even a nonstop flight to China in the works, Cobalt Aero is preparing itself for substantial expansion throughout the next decade. Given the country’s strategic location in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea--a region with the potential to serve over a billion passengers, the sky’s the limit when it comes to growth for Cobalt Aero Airlines.
