Baggage Allowance

As Compass Air does not have its own itinerary or routes, all information regarding baggage is set according to the policies of Delta Air Lines and American Airlines, depending on whether Compass is flying as Delta Connection or American Eagle.

On Delta flights, First and Business class passengers in the U.S. are allowed two checked bags free of charge, provided they are less than 70 pounds and 62 linear inches. In the main cabin, passengers pay $25 for the first checked bag and $35 for the second.

For American flights, the same dimensions apply but bags have to weigh less than 50 pounds. Business Class, First Class and OneWorld/AAdvantage members of different classes may check up to three bags for free depending on status and destination. Checked bags for domestic flights are charged $25 for the first bag, $35 for the second, and $150 for a third bag. When you book, it is vital to ensure you check the information for your particular fare and flight, especially if it is outside the U.S.
