In 2004, Virgin Air group set out to create a low-cost airline in the States, and in 2006 Virgin America was born. This airline aims to service major metropolitan cities on the East and West Coasts of the United States. It’s headquarters are located in Burlingame, California and this popular airline utilizes San Francisco International Airport as its main operational hub. In 2012, Virgin airline opened their first airport lounge, Virgin America Loft, at Los Angeles International Airport, which can be accessed by gold and silver members of their frequent flyer club, or with the purchase of a day pass by non member passengers.
Virgin America flights are all powered by Airbus aircraft. The majority of their fleet is made up of Airbus A320-200 planes, and all flights are dual class. First class seats are 21 inches wide, with a pitch of 55 inches. Main cabin select (which is not a separate cabin, but seats located in specific areas of the main cabin that allow for more room) seats have a pitch of 38 inches, while main cabin seats have a pitch of 32 inches, both have seat widths of 17.7 inches. The entire aircraft has mood lighting, and every seat has a personal, touch screen display to access in flight entertainment such as pay per view movies, live satellite television, and games.

To score one of these fantastic fares, you'll need to purchase by 11:59 pm (PST) on March 1, 2018 and book least 21 days prior to travel. Travel is valid Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from April 16 - May 23, 2018. Due to the Alaska Airlines and Virgin America merger, some of these deals may be operated by Alaska Airlines.
Virgin America Frequent Flyer Program
Elevate is Virgin America’s frequent flyer program, with basic, silver and gold membership available. Each tier of this reward program will grant you access to different features including free upgrades to main cabin select and first class, access to lounges in select airports, no blackout or restriction dates for earning points, and the ability to redeem points for flights. Points don’t expire as long as there has been activity on your account once in the past 18 months, making it worthwhile even for those who don’t plan to travel more than once a year. Participants can also earn points by booking hotels with Virgin Hotels, or through select hotels in the Viceroy network.
Virgin America Meals, Snacks and Drinks
All food and beverages on Virgin flights can be ordered from your personal touch screen display. This makes selection and payment a breeze! There are a variety of premium snacks to choose from such as gourmet salted brownies, kettle chips, jerky and more. First class snacks are curated by food experts at Dean & DeLuca. Flights over two hours offer meals for purchase including sandwiches, salads, wraps, cheese plates, yogurt parfaits and other items. All passengers can enjoy complimentary soft drinks, and alcoholic beverages are available for purchase.
