Wizz Air flights & tickets

Wizz Airlines is a low cost Hungarian airline, operating out of Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport in Budapest, Hungary. Although it’s not the flag carrier airline of Hungary, it has the largest fleet of any Hungarian airline, servicing 117 destinations in 35 countries with Poland being the largest market for Wizz Air. This economy airline utilizes a mixture of major and secondary airports in hopes of providing the lowest base fare possible. They are continuously looking to expand their operational networks.

Wizz Air operates an all Airbus fleet, with economy seating only. There are 63 Airbus A320-200 models, which seat 180 passengers and 10 Airbus A321-200 models, which seat 230 passengers. Wizz added the Airbus A321ceo to its fleet in November of 2016, and will receive 20 more units, as well as a substantial number of A321neo aircrafts. The innovative technology of these aircrafts will reduce the carbon footprint of this economy airline, as well as continue to keep the industry base cost low, which means cheaper airfare for their passengers!

Why Fly With Wizz Air

Wizz Air Seating – Leg Room, Choosing Seats

Wizz Air offers one cabin class only, but people who want extra legroom or to board the plane first can pay extra when booking their flight. You may select your desired seat during booking, and the appropriate fee will be added to your purchase summary. A seat will automatically be assigned to all passengers who do not opt for a paid upgrade. Passengers are allowed one small (42 x 32 x 25 cm) carry on bag free of charge. If your carry on bag is considered large (56 x 45 x 25 cm) you will be charged to bring it on board.

Wizz Air Baggage Allowance

Each passenger can check up to 6 bags, each can be up to 70 pounds each. Small items such as a coat, personal phone, reading material, and food for children in the age of 2 can be brought along, but personal items such as a purse, camera bag or briefcase (40 x 30 x 18 cm) are only free if you upgrade to priority boarding.

Wizz Cafe and Boutique

In order to keep air fare low, Wizz cuts out all the extra bells and whistles that can inflate airfare. Wizz’s alternative is to make food and beverages available for purchase for passengers who want those services. They offer hot drinks, soft drinks, alcoholic beverages, sandwiches, snacks, and combination deals on a variety of items. Those traveling on Wizz can also browse their boutique catalog, featuring designer fragrances, fashion accessories, travel accessories, Wizz branded novelty items, and airport bus shuttle services.
