There are no direct flights to Florence Airport from the United States. This airport, however, is an international destination for many flights within Europe. Getting Around From Florence Airport

The airport in Florence is connected to the city center via a shuttle, Vola In Bus, that goes to the central railway station, Firenze Santa Maria Novella (SMN). The bus shuttle has scheduled service from Florence Airport daily and arrives at the train station within about 20 minutes. Tickets can be purchased on board from the driver or at the airport newspaper stands (Tabacchi). There are taxis at the airport waiting in front of the terminal that will take you to Florence's city center within 15 minutes or so. You may choose to rent a car at the airport and drive to your destination. Connect to the car rental area, Palagio degli Spini, by a free shuttle bus running every 20 minutes from the short-term parking lot outside the terminal. Pisa International Airport (PSA) To Florence

Though there are no non-stop flights from the US to Pisa Airport, this airport, handling over 2 million passengers a year, is another convenient gateway to Florence with a variety of airlines that fly to Pisa Airport. It is located 53 miles east of Florence. Pisa Airport is just half a mile from the Pisa Centrale railway station. An automatic People Mover at the airport will take you the train station in less than 10 minutes.
