The airport in Gdansk (GDN) is officially named Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport. This international airport is located about seven miles from the city center, near the Tricity metropolitan area that includes Gdansk, Sopot, and Gdynia. Gdansk Airport is the only airport in this city, handling over 4 million passengers yearly. There are no direct flights from the United States to Gdansk Airport.
Gdansk Airport has two passenger terminals, T1 and T2, however Terminal T2 is a much busier terminal. T1 is used only for departure flights to countries not part of Schengen Area, such as flights to Great Britain, Ireland and a few holiday destinations. T1 does not serve any arriving flights. A bridge connects the two terminals.
