The Paphos International Airport is the second-largest airport on the Island of Cyprus. Paphos Airport, a combined civilian-military airport, is conveniently located giving travelers access to many of the main roads in Cyrus. While one of the car rental options is located inside the airport terminal, other rental locations require a little bit of travel. Fortunately, a bus serves the airport area and drops travelers off at their desired rental provider.
Car Rentals at Paphos Airport
When visiting Cyprus, it will be much easier to see all of the sites with a rental car. When visitors land at Paphos International Airport, they have several car rental options. Inside of the airport is Sixt Rent a Car. This may be the best option, as the other car rental services are located a short drive from the airport.
For example, both Budget and Europcar are about 20 minutes away from the airport. Renting from Astra Self-Drive Cars will also require a 20-minute trip from the airport. Travelers will be able to rent a wide variety of vehicles at these rental locations. However, car renters should be sure to request a model that can handle the varying driving terrain they will encounter in Cyprus.
Traveling Around Paphos Airport
Those who have never visited the island of Cyprus before should be pleased to learn that traveling around the airport is very easy. The Paphos Airport is surrounded by several villages and is just a short drive away from two of the island's main roads.
Getting to road B6, for instance, only requires a four-minute drive from the airport, and once visitors have reached the main road, they will easily be able to travel to every area on the island. The Paphos Airport is surrounded by three villages: Acheleia, Mandria, and Timi. Travelers can quickly arrive at any of these villages by driving from the airport in the villages' respective directions.
Attractions Near Paphos Airport
Many people visiting Cyprus want to start seeing the sites as soon as they have left Paphos Airport. Fortunately, there are several attractions within driving distance from the airport that can easily be accessed with the use of a rental car.
