Flying out of Hanoi on a budget isn’t hard when you book with us here at Skyscanner. Using our flight finding tool, you’ll be able to pick the time, day, carrier, and destination, all at a price point that won’t disappoint.
In this article, we’ll let you know where you can go from Hanoi’s Airport and how we can help you get there cheaply.
Hanoi’s airport is called Noi Bai International Airport, and it’s about 20 miles from the city center. From Noi Bai, you’ll have access to all of Southeast Asia, so it’s just a matter of finding the location that suits your fancy and booking your flight right away.
Tokyo and Hong Kong are always popular destinations for departures from Noi Bai. These routes are quite expensive, however. If you think that the big city appeal of cultural and economic giants like Taipei, Seoul, Hong Kong, and Tokyo are for you, you won’t have a problem finding a ticket to blend into the city.
For a more laid back trip, you might be more interested in flying to Luang Prabang in Laos, which brings a Laotian twist to the Southeast Asian beautiful landscape. You could also travel to Bangkok if you’re interested in a more high energy Southeast Asian destination.
You can even fly all the way to European destinations via Noi Bai. If you’re desperate for Western Culture, you can make it as far as Paris, Moscow, London, or Frankfurt. Flying along these routes tends to be more expensive, as fewer travelers head there as opposed to other destinations within Asia.
Traveling during the monsoon season is a surefire way to pay extra for your ticket. Instead, try to book a ticket during the more mild months, when fewer people will be trying to get away from the rain and heat.
Flying on the Vietnamese airline Vietjet Air or Jetstar Pacific will also help you cut costs, as they use Noi Bai as one of their major hubs. Be sure to check with us here at Skyscanner to make sure that you aren’t overpaying for your flight and that you’ll have your pick of the carrier.
From central Hanoi, getting to Noi Bai International Airport your best bet is to hire a taxi or tuk-tuk and drive north out of Hanoi, up National Road 3, until the airport’s exit. The airport only has one departure terminal, which is quite modern and has everything that you would expect from a normal airport.
