How to Get to the Airport

When traveling to the airport, it is best to avoid the rush hours in the Lima area which include the times of 8 to 10 am and 5 to 9 pm.  It can normally take about 50 minutes to get to the airport from the city center, but if you hit traffic that time will more than double.  The airport can be accessed from Av. Elmer Faucett and Highway 100 which will both take you to the airport’s entrance.

What to expect at the Lima Airport

The Lima Airport is a smaller facility and has a unique system for moving through passengers.  You will be required to present your Tarjeta Andina de Migracion or TAM form that you were given on arrival to Peru to get you back through immigration and onto your flight.  If you have lost your card during your travels, do not fret as you will be able to replace it at the airport for a fee.
