What to do at the airport

One of the best features of SMF is the free wi-fi that can be reached from anywhere within the airport. The large Terminal B can be traversed by means of an automated people mover. A number of restaurants offer healthy and local cuisine. The Esquire Grille by Randy Paragary is a sit-down restaurant that lets you dine in style while waiting for your flight.

SMF has an extensive art collection that you can peruse as you travel through the airport. The Flying Carpet by Seyed Alavi covers the floor of the pedestrian bridge from the parking garage in Terminal A and displays a beautiful aerial view of the Sacramento River. Also in Terminal A is the Samson, an arresting piece by Brian Goggin that appears to be two massive columns of luggage supporting the ceiling.

A traveler favorite in Terminal B is a statue of a giant red rabbit suspended in midair. This is Leap by Lawrence Argent and was designed to prompt conversation and speculation by observers.
