Trenton-Mercer Airport gets its name from the town (Trenton) and county (Mercer) where it is located in southern New Jersey, an outer suburb of the city of Philadelphia, PA. Although only the third busiest airport in New Jersey, TTN sees very close to 400,000 passengers boarding flights each year. The first plane landed at what is now Trenton-Mercer over 100 years ago in 1907. The U.S. Navy used TTN for test flights of the Grumman Avenger during WWII, which was produced in the area. You can fly from Mercer County’s Airport to major eastern hubs and regional destinations, too, including several popular Florida cities. While you’re waiting, you can take in the observation lounge and grab some great pub food at the restaurant right in the terminal. Non-stop flights to Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina are available. Some of the most popular routes from TTN are Orlando and Atlanta.

There’s no direct public transportation to the airport, but you can catch a train to West Trenton train station and take a quick cab ride (1.5 miles) right to the terminal. The 607 bus doesn’t come onto airport grounds, but does stop right outside, from where you can walk right to the terminal and into the departure area for your flight. If you rented a car, drop-off is available from 6am until midnight each day.
