It is situated on a rugged hill that overlooks views such as the Alpine foothills and the historic village. Europa-Park is located in Rust in the southwestern Germany. It’s the second most popular theme park in all of Europe, featuring intense rides such as the Euro-Mir, a spinning steel track roller coaster inspired by Russian space missions!

Advice for Tourists Visiting Germany

The best time to fly to Germany will rely entirely on the type of vacation you’re looking for. Both spring and fall are great for hiking and walking tours. Summer is crowded, but the sun is shining, and the beer gardens are open and lively. (Tip: Oktoberfest actually begins in September!) The winter months are filled with skiers, and many major cities also host beautiful Christmas Markets in November and December, with handmade crafts and warming spiced Glühwein.

You’ll need a passport to visit Germany. Most visitors can stay for up to 90 days, though that restriction applies to the EU as a whole, and you may be asked to show proof of booked onward tickets and sufficient funds.

Especially in large cities and heavily visited tourist areas, many Germans speak excellent English. It’s still worth your time to learn a few useful phrases, if only for the joy of watching a straight-faced German crack a smile at your attempts.

Germany’s sole currency is the Euro. Very few shops or restaurants will accept foreign currencies or be willing to exchange currency, and anybody who does will likely only be located in airports and major train stations.
