There are three major international airports to choose from, Catania, Palermo, and Trapani, depending on from where you are traveling, when flying to Sicily.   Catania and Palermo are by far the busiest, combining to service over 10 million passengers each year.  Alitalia, along with dozens of other major, regional, and national airlines fly in and out of Sicily every day.

From early morning to 10pm you can take a train right from the airport into Palermo.  For Cantania, shuttle buses to the city center are the way to go, if you're not renting a car.

Where to go and What to See in Sicily
