Because the island is only about 12 miles long and 5 miles wide, Saipan International Airport (SPN) is located near most of the major attractions on the island.

Saipan International Airport
The airport has two paved runways and services about 100 flights to Saipan each day. Delta Airlines, Asiana and Fly Guam arrive at this airport from Tokyo, Seoul and Hong Kong. Once you arrive at the airport, you'll find duty-free shopping, restaurants and information booths. To get to your final destination, you can rent a car or a moped from one of the six rental car companies, or you can take a taxi to the downtown area, which will cost you about $30. Keep in mind that taxis are only allowed to pick up passengers at the airport and at hotels. If you intend to rent a car or a moped, know that the island only has two main roadways that will take you where you need to go. Beach Road follows the western coast and connects several small villages together. Middle Road travels through the center of the island.
