Best time to book a flight to Arctic Region

Travel to the Arctic depends greatly on the location of the sun in the sky. Owing to its far northern latitude, the summer months see the advent of a ‘Midnight Summer’ in which the sun never descends the horizon. June, the beginning of the season, are a great time to spot hunting polar bears and returning migratory birds. July to September boast blooming flowers and a plethora of distinctive northern birds. The darker period from October to May is generally off-limits for much travel due to choppy seas full of dangerous floating ice.
