Set in the dusty and desert-like north of Argentina, Cafayate is set in the province or area known as Salta and can be a great place to visit when trying to escape the urban life of Buenos Aires. I studied abroad in Argentina and instantly fell in love with the country...one of our more interesting stops was in the northern towns such as Cafayete where the rustic terrain, local food, and small boutique wineries all were memorable and enjoyable. Check here of details on their white wine Torrontés and visiting: http://www.welcomeargentina.com/vino/salta_i.html
