Start your day at Infinity Bakery for a coffee or pop by Italian-inspired deli Alimentan for a toasted panni. Saturday you can roam the popular Paddington Markets from 10am.
A beautiful leafy suburb close to the heart of the city. Full of well cared for Victorian era terrace houses, rows of mature trees and beautiful people.
The backbone of the neighborhood is Oxford Street. It is a busy business district that seems to be struggling for definition as may of the stores of closed down or moved with the construction/re-modeling of Westfields. There are some fun pubs, but it is a wealthy neighborhood that generally closes at ten pm on weekdays, and midnight on weekends so not the best place to go for more than a couple beers. It will be interesting to watch what the future holds for this district.
Paddington is a little slice of London nestled in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. Much like London there's a pub on every corner and a wide array of boutiques offering fashion forward brands from all corners of the globe. If you're on a budget Paddington probably isn't the best spot for shopping, a day out is likely to hurt the credit card but hey you can always drown your sorrows in the pubs along the way.
