The best hostels in Split
we have been coming for several years and we are very satisfied. the team is very friendly and ready to help at any time. the location is perfect, close to diocletian's palace and the city center within a 3-minute walk and bačvice or the beach in 3 minutes in the other direction. the hostel is very comfortable, everything is very clean and there is always a friendly atmosphere. recommended to everyone!

No Security and No Staff Past 11
So there are two backpackers hostels this one is slightly further up than the other but still very close to the centre.
The hostel was ok but what let it down is the fact that not only is there no staff after 11, which would have been fine but there was no lock on the front door to the hostel so once you have gained access through the door downstairs you can walk straight into the hostel and straight into the rooms. If it wasn’t for this I would have given it a higher rating.
Staff are friendly and will give you information on the area and hostel if you ask - not offered freely which would have been nice.

ANOTHER SMALL APARTMENT IN TOWER BLOCK, MASQUERADING AS A HOSTEL, WITH BAD STAFF
SMALL APARTMENT/ HOSTEL with rude lazy female reception staff, good central location, poorly maintained bathroom with hair and dirt . Noisy dorm and communal areas and poor security as reception staff went home about 8pm and nobody turned up again until about 9am. Between that time people run riot and there are no staff in the apartment/hostel! plenty of hostels in split so do yourself a favour and pick a different hostel! this is overpriced for the little on offer. Beware seems to be a recent trend with a number of easten european hostels that are just converted apartments in run down apartment blocks with limited maintenance,staff and security...

Great Hostel!!
Staff are friendly and helpful, and available upon request. The rooms were clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. We had lockers next to our beds that fit all our belongings so we felt comfortable leaving stuff there during the day. The rooms were quiet so we were able to get the best sleeps of our trip. The common room was a great spot to meet people and the kitchen with fridge and dishes allowed us to save money on eating out every meal. The location is superb and you can’t beat the value of this hostel. Will definitely recommend this hostel to anyone travelling to Split!

Lovely Hostel
As others have said staff are lovely and very knowledgeable.
Close to old town/sandy beach and everything else you could want.
Clean & comfy with good laundry services. No complaints to be honest loved the air conditioning too! :) x
