Such a great city. Another great place to grab a coffee (or cocktail-to-go from the riverside bars) and walk along the Rhine.
Grobe museum in the centre of Dusseldolf dated back to the 18 th century ;))
Dusseldorf is the nearest major German city to me so I was excited to get back into the German way of things (at least for one day), do some shopping and enjoy myself. I guess I was just expecting more. There was nothing very special about Dusseldorf. If I was interested in the modern art museums and the high-end shopping it would have been fine, but neither appealed. Besides walking in the parks and along the river, there wasn't much else to do. With a large amount of construction going on as well, aesthetically it wasn't very interesting. Next time I'll probably just stay on the train an extra 30 minutes to go to Cologne.
This is a city that you would visit in your dreams, your desire is to stay asleep only because the experience is so complete, that movement of this spirit involvement is so real it's making your vision dream actually alive while living it in your dreams.
