Malang ... this is a place where you can find old Dutch buildings, warm welcoming guest house (or Bed and Breakfast) and some shopping happened. It is not as "metropolitan" as Jakarta or Surabaya, but it's rising up. Easily accessible by flight or car (about 2-3 hours from Surabaya).
