you must visit this world heritage site. Go under the existing town into the Crusader world. There is a secret passage, huge halls, a Turkish baths.... and when you finsh go to the Arab market and smell the spices!

This is a fascinating place with extensive excavations that go back prior to the Roman period. It is a great place to spend a half day.

Acco also knowns as Acre is a beautiful, old port city in northern Israel. While there is not a lot to do and see here it is still worth a stop if you have the time. Have a meal here as the seafood is to die for.
