Rome contains an amazing cross-section of government, culture, religion, and history in a city that has the fourth largest population in Europe. The capital of Italy as well as the Lazio region of the country, over four million people call The Eternal City home. Beautiful history and food everywhere! I would highly recommend using the day buses and travelling around! Trevali Fountain is beautiful at night and also I’d recommend seeing the colosseum at night too! Make sure to book everything in advance as it can get busy!
Interesting history. However, I would not suggest for solo travellers (especially females) there are a lot of precautions you need to take regarding the men selling items in the street, especially if you are alone. That is what discourages me to revisit. Though, it is nonetheless a place you must see with your own eyes.
Absolutely amazing, but we visited in June and it was way too hot! Would have enjoyed it much more if the weather wasn’t as intense. Other than that, it’s unforgettable and would definitely go again!
The food, the art, the shopping. Rome is the perfect place for a quick European trip...
