Founded around the year 421 A.D, Venice, Italy is filled with breathtaking architecture of antiquity. It has a culture that promotes love and sharing among family, friends, and people you have just met for the first time. It is rich with stunning arts and entertainment, and you are sure to find your fair share of delicious food while strolling around town.
You will be hard-pressed to find a hotel in Venice that is not gorgeous inside. Affordable hotel rooms can be snagged for as low as $75-$200 per night, and are full or ornate decorations and stunning design concepts. Use Skyscanner's hotel booking tool to get the best prices available on the Internet.
Venice is similar to New York city in that is has six different districts, or Sestieri, within the city, which are:
San Marco Airport is the closest airport to downtown Venice and is located approximately 27 miles from the city. There are hotels located near the airport as well as within the city limits of Venice.
Traveling to and from Venice from the Airport, and getting around town are easy thanks to the public transportation system. You can take a ride on the railway, ride the bus, or hire a driver. You can also rent a car using the car rental page on Skyscanner. Keep in mind that the majority of cars in Italy are manual transmission, so it is important to know how to drive a stick shift vehicle.
Venice is the place to go for classic luxury accommodations. From rich colors and tapestries to golden colored furniture and decor, you will be made to feel like royalty. Yes! Many of the hotels in the city have attached restaurants serving up the trendiest dishes in the region. If your specific hotel does not have an on-site restaurant, there will be plenty of dining options within walking distance.
Excellent place to visit with friends or as a couple, I went here for two nights, it’s got excellent atmosphere, the food is really good (definitely recommend the fish out there) and good on nightlife too! Picturesque sights too! I went in November and although most of Venice flooded they equip you well with raised deckings and water boots!
I had the best italian food in venice, this city is imagination, i would love to visit it again. walkin in its streets give you the best feelings ever.
You can get a day trip from Medulin (Coach to Pula then fastboat ride to Venice and back). A great day out but an early start and late finish.
From all the places in the world , the city of water is one of the many wonders needed in your list as a traveler to have seen anything beautiful in your life !!
