I'm glad we visited Sandakan. It's quite remote and there aren't many tourists there. Everything seems at one with nature, even the accommodation which is wood built. We saw one of the most amazing tropical storms there. It was night and the sky was alice with lightening while thunder crack right over our heads from one side of the jungle to the other.
