Pokhara was one of the first places I traveled solo as a woman, and the sight of the Himalayas at dawn over the town and from the mountain is still one of the most divine experiences I've ever had. A great place to slow down, do some yoga, or even leap off a mountain (with paragliding guide, of course.)

Pokhara is a laid-back city on Phewa Lake of Nepal. As a gateway to the Annapurna Circuit, a popular trail in the Himalayas, it attracts a lot of trekkers and backpackers each year. It's a great place to visit especially because of the amazing view of the mountains and lake.
