An absolute beautiful small town in the middle of the fjords. While overrun by tourists, this is still a wonderful destination to see.
Absolutely beautiful! We did a bicycle excursion down a mountain vista. It was all downhill so no need to worry about bicycling effort being required. Magnificent views
Was there when i was a kid. I dont remeber all but i remember that it´s was very pretty. MICCE
We stayed in Geiranger for two nights. The location is spectacular – at the end of Geiranger Fjord, sloped on a base of a mountain. It offers incredible panoramic view of the fjord and the mountains. There are great hikes around Geiranger. Unfortunately, we weren’t able go hiking, as it was raining before we got there, during the night and again in the morning. We ended up doing a day trip to Runde island. The road out of Geiranger takes you through so called Eagle Road – steep zigzagging road up the mountain, with turns so sharp that our GPS was so confused and was re-calculating directions at every turn. Almost at the top of the Eagle Road there is a great viewing platform – you get a perfect view of Geiranger and the Fjord.
