This picture was captured yesterday during my visit to the beautiful region of Dhofar in Oman. Amazing nature and beautiful scenes.

Salalah has got the only guaranteed rain in Arabia. Every summer, monsoon rains from India transform the arid hills of Dhofar into a veritable garden of eden replete with waterfalls and Saudi tourists hot to escape the mind-numbing heat of the peninsula's interior. This cool, green and magical time in Salalah is known as 'khareef' which means autumn in Arabic. So in this little corner of the Middle East, autumn comes in summer and it doesn't bring yellow, brown or orange but green, green, wonderful green!

Salalah is a beautiful place to travel in Oman. Khareef season attracts visitors from many places. Everyday morning roads and hills will be full of fog. Waves in the sea are high all the time. People are also very good here. Not much stressed life. There are many Indian and western restaurants. Vegetarians get pure vegetarian restaurants including Kerala style and Gujarati style restaurants. Few very good shopping malls to around to go out and hang on like Lulu, Carrefour, home centre. One multiplex movie theatre is expecting shortly. Salalah is not too expensive place. One can hire a taxi and go around at RO 40 with a driver. People who willing to drive on their own can get rented cars. Enjoy Salalah :)
