Not safe . Calling 112 in Romania it's take for emergency services to attend long time !!! If you don't know the location where you are it's impossible for them to find you.

Literally one of the worst places I've been in my entire life. Run down, dirty, poverty stricken, literally falling to pieces. a tragic waste of time and money. awful food, and awful attitudes from people, terrible accommodation. I cannot talk poorly enough about this city. zero stars, if it were possible.

Bucharest is an interesting city, a crossroads of many empires which ruled here before to post war communism to modern day revolution. French architecture, Slavic food, Gypsy culture, Ceausescu's communism, and don't forget Vlad the Impaler.
