Basel is a perfect blend of art, history and culture. The 'Culture Capital of Switzerland' has about 40 museums, interesting stories and a unique location making it possible to visit Germany and France just in a few minutes! Summer is the liveliest time to enjoy the local culture: swimming in the Rhine, barbecuing, enjoying a drink in one of the riverside bars or attending an open-air party.

Basel doesn't disappoint. If you're looking for incredible eats in this city, try heading to Kraft Basel or Restaurant Stucki.

Basel is one of the most amazing cities in which I was so far. Take a walk along the Rhine and in summer you can even swim in it with a "swim bag". There are many bars and nightclubs and the people are very friendly. Absolutely loved it!

Basel is gorgeous and has all of the charm you may imagine it would have. I wish I had more time to explore. I've heard there are a lot of great museums there. I was fine just strolling along the Rhine.
