This had a little bit of everything you want in a Mediterranean beach town. The little place has character, paragliding, great swimming beaches, and open-air restaurants and bars. On top of that, I found a pervasive friendly atmosphere to the place. I didn't personally take a paragliding trip but several of my passengers (I was an acting tour guide at the time) loved the experience and even went on to do a course. In addition, there are sail boat cruises that looked absolutely fabulous.
Coming over the hills from Fethiye, your first glimpse of Oludeniz is a spread of vibrant shades from light to turquoise to azure blue surrounded by the perforated greens of the hils beyond, and a dazzling stretch of sands which bend round to the most photographed 'lagoon' in the world... The Lagoon is a UNESCO world heritage area, 4km of shingle and sand reach from east to west ending in a sand bar which stretch ahead fringed with pine and shrubs. Swim or snorkel in the lagoon's warm water or hire a paddle boat to explore the scenic beauty. You may just decide on some more strenuous water sports... For those that want action, paraglide off Mount Babadag... 45 adrenaline-minutes in the air. Take in the amazing views of Oludeniz, capture that important photo of the lagoon and land on the beach. Sunset marks the Happy Cocktail Hour... a time for many colored skies and cocktails. Just Relax! Watch the sun disappear in the sea :))
the nicest place i have ever been to going again in may for the sixth time, nice people nice place and cheap as chips you get out of turkey what you want as there is so much to do
One of the best beaches in Turkey. You can both enjoy the sea, sun and the view of the paragliders. You may also try paragliding with an expert. Ölüdeniz welcomes you.
