This city is known for its rustic outdoor spirit and you can find hotel rooms that will make you feel like you are far away from the hustle and bustle of the modern world. Aspen offers several different hotels with log cabin themed rooms, grand trading post style lounges, and all-natural day spas.
Many of the hotels are located within two miles of downtown Aspen and still provide a warm rustic atmosphere. You can also find great hotels and resorts up the mountain closer to the ski resort. Aspen also has it's fair share of wilderness cabin and hotel room spread throughout the wilderness areas.
Hotels like Hotel Aspen and Aspen Ski Hotel provide free shuttle service to the slopes. If you are planning to take advantage of winter activities while you are in town, check with your specific hotel to see if they provide shuttle service. You can also hire a car or shuttle service to take you up the mountain.
Not only will you get to enjoy beautiful scenery, rooms that feel more like log cabins than traditional hotels, and quick access to one of the most popular skiing destinations in the country, but you can also indulge in amenities such as on-site fine dining, a warm fireplace, complimentary parking, WiFi, and even free breakfast at select locations.
If you are looking for a 5-star experience in the Colorado wilderness, Aspen is the place to go. Check out prestigious hotels like The St Regis Resort Aspen, Hotel Jerome, and The Little Nell. You may be fortunate enough to run into a celebrity or two.
Aspen is a gorgeous town. Expensive but fantastic to visit. There's plenty to see and do in town and in the surrounding mountains at any time of year.

The A-list ski town has no shortage of plush hotels primed for romance—such as The Little Nell or the St. Regis—or sips to get you there: the Rocky Mountain state’s legendary craft beer scene helped rank this tony mountain town at the top of the survey for its local brews (such as Aspen Brewing’s pale ale called This Season’s Blonde). For a romantic dinner you can’t beat Cloud Nine Alpine Bistro, with big views—from 10,700 feet—of the Maroon Bells and European-style classics such as fondue and veal schnitzel. Readers also applauded Aspen for its variety of events, from the X Games to the high-minded Aspen Ideas Festival.
This just happens to be one of my favorite cities - and not just because I was born here. Aspen is beautiful any time of year. Some of my favorite memories are in the spring up in the mountains surrounded by wild flowers. Nothing gets better than being in a field when a sun shower surprises you and there's nothing but beauty around you. I could go on for hours, but I won't.
