Let me just say, It's lit it's lit it's lit It's lit it's lit it's lit it's lit it's lit It's lit it's lit, because I grew up here.
Boca Raton is a beautiful very upscale area with lots of shopping and nice, though crowded, beaches.
Lived here for my highschool years. It's a beautiful city and one of the safest cities in the US. Common to many Florida cities, the roads are wide, no traffic, the buildings are organized and new. The weather is pretty much perfect all year long - except for the humidity. Perhaps because of the amazing sunshine all year round, the people always have a smile on their face. You won't find the excitement of New York here, it's really a town designed for those who likes peace and quiet. There isn't many attractions, but you can count on the sandy beaches being absolutely gorgeous with very little people. The restaurants and mall is just 10-15 minutes away from either direction of the city. You can find palm trees at every corner. Be sure to visit the famous West Palm Beach up north, hit up Cityplace for some awesome shopping experience.
My wife and I visited Boca Raton for the first time over Spring Break last year. With her sister's family as guides we came to fall in love with this classy beach community in South Florida. The broad sandy beaches and 80 degree water make you want to spend the whole day in the sun. If you bring along snorkeling gear you can catch a glimpse of phantasmal schools of fish and the solo barracudas looking for their next meal. At Gumbo Limbo preserve you can get a close up view of sea turtles and giant devil rays. Down town Boca is extremely upscale and it's not uncommon to see several Porsches and Ferraris along the main drag.
