Green Bay is a small city in Wisconsin located between the Fox River and Lake Michigan.
Known mostly for its national football team, the Green Bay Packers, Green Bay is a quiet city with cold winters and hot summers. As a visitor, you’ll be able to see a few performance art shows and visit a couple of galleries and museums.
Nearly all of the hotels in Green Bay are small or medium sized chain hotels from large international brands which you’ll recognize. There are few inns or bed and breakfasts, and no boutique hotels. Furthermore, there aren’t any luxury hotels in Green Bay.
You should easily find a hotel room in Green Bay at any time of year, although during football season you may pay a slightly higher price.
Hotels in Green Bay are much cheaper than the hotels in other cities. As of 2017, you should expect to pay around $100 for a hotel room in Green Bay, although if you hunt for a deal with Skyscanner’s help, you can find prices as low as $50.
There isn’t much to gain by going farther outside the city limits in search of a cheaper hotel. The price doesn’t drop much beyond what you can find in the city, so stick to hotels around the river and downtown. If you pick a hotel near Lambeau Field during football season, expect to pay a bit more than you would elsewhere.
The differences between the most expensive hotels in Green Bay and the less expensive hotels aren’t as pronounced in Green Bay as they would be elsewhere because the spread of prices is quite narrow. Don’t stress too much about which hotel to pick because all of the common chain hotels in Green Bay will meet roughly similar standards of quality at roughly the same price points.
Hotels in Green Bay vary depending on their size, but most have the standard set of amenities. You won’t find any spas in Green Bay’s hotels, though many of the medium sized hotels have pools and workout rooms.
All hotels in Green Bay have parking lots, so don’t worry about bringing your transportation. Additionally, because the public transportation system in Green Bay is minimal, don’t be afraid to book a hotel that’s far away from the bus stops.
Finally, bonus amenities like free breakfast are relatively common in Green Bay despite low prices.

Even if you are not a Packer Fan, you should put Green Bay on your bucket list. The people are warm and welcoming. The nicest bunch of people you will ever meet. Football is life here. Tailgating is a town event and everyone opens their doors and hands you a beer. The biggest party you will ever go to.
Green Bay is a City on Great Lakes Michigan and is gateway city to the Door Country. Green Bay is also home to the NFL Team Green Bay Packers.
I went to green bay a lot. One was to go to Bay Beach, the other to go to family game night at the packers stadium, and the other was to watch the packers practice.
