Quaint seaside village with lots of little nooks and crannies to explore. Parking is behind Alison's restaurant.
Kennebunkport is a small town. The summer/vacation home of President George Bush (the first one) and his family, Kennepunk Port is steadfastly conservative and proud to be Republican.
Pack the Lily Pulitzer dresses and Tory Burch flats for a preppy coastal New England weekend. Tag along with Rugosa Lobster Tours for a fun excursion on a traditional Maine lobster boat, where you’ll see traps pulled up and cruise past Walker’s Point, the summertime estate of former president George H. W. Bush and his wife, Barbara. And come sunset, at Nonantum Resort, you can board the Pineapple Ketch schooner for a tour along the Kennebunkport River. Where to Stay: The renovated Tides Beach Club has an appropriately preppy-glam look, with rooms in aqua and coral, and a petite bar serving oysters and bubbly. Bigger groups will appreciate a waterfront rental like the “summer cottage” 82 Ocean, which sleeps 8–10 people and has a gourmet kitchen and four fireplaces.
Absolutely love this area! Right off the water are lots of restaurants and shops. The view and scenery is beautiful!
