A Los Angeles stepchild, Long Beach is perhaps best known for the Queen Mary but does also have a world class port, some respectable shopping areas and a dog friendly beach area that unfortunately isn't much of a beach.
Home of the Queen Mary, Shoreline Village, Aquarium of the Pacific and the Long Beach Grand Prix.
I've loved Long Beach since I first set foot in 1982, through it's good times and bad (the late 90s weren't so hot). A revitalized downtown, many other fun areas, light rail, culture, and a beautiful beach - and there's much I haven't yet seen!
