Maryland is a microcosm of the US and has a little something for everyone. From the mountains to the seashore, Maryland delivers it all. The 1-95 Corridor between DC and Baltimore is one of the mostly densely populated areas of the country, while Western Maryland and the Eastern Shore are light years away, maintaining rural character and a different way of life. And of course, no summary of Maryland is complete without mentioning that Maryland is for crabs. The Chesapeake Bay blue crab in fact. Crab houses are an ubiquitous feature of Maryland, found everywhere from big city downtown centers to the smallest of small little townships. No one steams crabs or cooks crab cakes quite like Marylanders do.
Seems quite lovely, temperate and livable. My experience getting terribly lost driving around Baltimore did put me off a bit but overall.
