Minnesota has something for anyone, and is really hard to try to categorize into one type of anything. It's home to the headwaters of the Mississippi, and has lots of rivers and lakes--even Lake Superior can be found here with the furthest inland international port in the country. You can find forests in the northern part of the state, and rolling hills and farmland in the south. You have mining operations in the north, and plains in the west. You have a large metro area with the Twin Cities, and the home of the largest shopping mall in the United States. Temperature-wise throughout the course of the year can fluctuate by 160 degrees (or more) if you take into account windchill in winter and heat index in summer.

After five long years of smoking animals, my family finally staged an intervention and sent me to an animal rehabilitation center in Minnesota. It was simultaneously the best and most horrifying experience of my life. Kind of like eating fried chicken while thinking about the fact that it used to move by itself.
