Moab is a smaller city located near the southern border of Utah in the United States. The city has a rich history stretching from the 1800s. What once was one of the only crossings of the Colorado River later became a hub for mining and Western film sets. In contemporary times, Moab is a destination spot for outdoor adventure enthusiasts.
Moab is in the beautiful Colorado Plateau, a desert that sits at high elevation and boasts some of the most breathtaking natural scenery in the country. Summers are naturally very hot; the mild winters are thus an excellent time to visit.
Close to Moab are two national parks, Arches and Canyonlands. The former is known for its abundance of natural arches, and the latter for its diverse mesas and canyons. Hikers, zipliners and BASE jumpers alike from all over the world come to these two parks to experience natural landmarks unseen anywhere else in the world. A system of trails surrounding Moab attract mountain bikers and off-roaders, and the Colorado River is a draw for river rafters.

Moab was the focus of our southwestern tour and, excluding one guide, it did not disappoint. Canyoneering was our favorite activity. The biking is incredible. We were there during Jeep Safari week, which was impressive. Jeeps from all over the world.
Moab is a town just footsteps away from Arches National park and not too far also from Canyonlands. Lots of outdoor activities like hiking, off-roading and rock climbing activities can be found all around. Nice little town to sleep between your activities.
