Arriving in Charlotte
Charlotte is best known for its place in the business world. It has recently become the second-largest banking center in America, after New York City. It’s also seen huge growth as a hub for tech startups and industrial development. But there’s more to this rising star than finance and factories. A young, energetic vibe is buzzes through the “Queen City.” The downtown area (known as “Uptown” by locals) is home to great restaurants, some wonderful museums, and a wide range of good nightclubs.
Catch a Carolina Panthers NFL game, or watch the excellent NCAA basketball team, the 49ers, tear up a court. Outside of the built-up city center, you’ll find some lovely old neighborhoods full of gracious and beautiful historic houses.
