Making your way to Charlotte Douglas Airport
For a modestly-sized airport consisting of one main terminal, Charlotte Douglas International Airport sees a lot of traffic. In fact, this is the busiest airport in the US without direct service to Asia. In spite of passenger volume, CLT is comfortable, easy-to-navigate airport, although the walkways between concourses can be long, so budget a healthy amount of time to get to your gate.

The airport is easy to reach from I-85 or I-77, and there’s plenty of parking. If you’d like to get to CLT by public transport, the CATS “Sprinter” bus service runs from Charlotte’s city center. Fare is $2.00 and the bus runs from 5:30 am until 12 am.
