American, Frontier, Spirit, and United Airlines all offer many non-stop services from Dallas/Fort Worth(DFW) and Denver International(DEN). If you’d prefer to fly from Dallas Love Field(DAL) you can catch one of Southwest’s regular direct flights.
Making your way to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Dallas Love Field
Dallas/Fort Worth is the largest airport in the area, serving two cities. DFW has five large terminals, but they are efficiently laid out and conveniently linked by the free Skylink train, which runs every 2 minutes, as well as the free Terminal Link vans which run every 10 minutes.
DFW is also well connected to public transportation options from all over the city. The DART Light Rail Orange Line and the Trinity Railway Express commuter rail line both have airport stops. Once you get to Dallas/Fort Worth, you can enjoy free WiFi throughout the airport.
Dallas Love Field, by contrast, is small and quiet. It’s actually located within the city limits, just 6 miles from downtown. It’s quick and easy to get through security and to your gate, so many travelers prefer this airport for short trips.
You can take public transportation to DAL. The DART Love Link 524 bus route connects the DART Rail Green Line and Orange Line trains to the airport. WiFi at Dallas Love Field is free for the first half hour. If you’re driving to either airport, you’ll want at least an hour, because Dallas traffic is always an issue.
Arriving in Denver
The Denver scenery and the potential for incredible outdoor recreation is the biggest draw for most visitors. Even in the midst of a big city, you are continually reminded of the majesty of nature. In fact, it’s against the law for new buildings to obstruct mountain views from the State Capitol!
Many people who arrive in the city head immediately for the hills to enjoy hiking, skiing, and water sports of all kinds in the lovely wilderness of the surrounding national parks. Even if you’re not the outdoorsy type, you’ll find something to love about Denver. It enjoys the highest percentage of arts spending per capita in the country, which has led to a flowering of culture: galleries, museums, performing arts venues and outdoor art. It’s also a great spot for nightlife, especially the LoDo district. 28 square blocks of restored Victorian buildings which house restaurants, bars, and clubs of every description.
