Flying out of Washington Dulles
If you are looking to go on a little Las Vegas getaway, whether for business or pleasure, you will have many flight options from Washington Dulles International Airport to Las Vegan McCarran International Airport. Luckily, Washington Dulles is a major hub of both domestic and international travel serving over 21 million passengers every year. When you arrive at Washington Dulles International Airport, you will have a number of parking options available to you. If you are budget conscious, there is a large economy parking lot that only charges $10 per day your car is parked there. A shuttle service is available to and from the economy lot for convenience and to make it easier to get to the terminals. There are also two parking garages that charge hourly rates but have a maximum of $17 per day with no minimum or maximum time period in which your car can remain parked there. And, of course, valet parking is also available at $35 for the first day and $30 for every subsequent day after that.
Arriving in Las Vegas
When you arrive at Las Vegas McCarran International Airport, you will arrive in either Terminal 1 or Terminal 3. The two terminals are separate but connected by a walkway if you need to move between terminals for any reason. Each terminal has its own baggage claim area for convenience.
As far as transportation from the airport, there are a number of options to choose from at Las Vegas McCarran airport. If you reserved a rental car using Skyscanner’s Car Rental search and select feature, you will want to proceed to Level 1 in Terminal 1 or Level 0 in Terminal 3 (depending on which terminal you landed in). Once there, follow the signs for ground transportation and the McCarran Rent-a-Center Shuttle service. You will be shuttled from the terminals to the rental car center so you can pick up your keys and get going. Other options include shuttles, public buses, taxis, and limousine services.
What to Do in Las Vegas
Las Vegas is a unique city full of interesting sights to see and activities to engage in. The lively night life scene centers around the clubs and bars in or around the various casinos on the Las Vegas Strip. You can catch a show, play the tables, or simply walk around and take in the scene at the Excalibur, the Bellagio, or one of the other famous casinos in the city. And, if you want to venture outside of Vegas city limits for a bit, the Hoover Dam is only about 30 miles outside of the city and is one of the most impressive historic landmarks in the United States.
