Flight Route Options
From LAX airport you can fly to either Dallas Love Field (DAL), just north of the city, or Dallas Fort Worth (DFW), which is located between Dallas, and its neighbor just to the west, Fort Worth. If you’re flying to Love Field, your journey will be with either Virgin America or Southwest airways, and if you’re flying to Fort Worth, you will be flying with Spirit, American, Delta, or United. The journey time to both airports is approximately 3 hours.
LAX airport is one of the busiest transport hubs in the US. If you don’t want to brave LA’s famous highways, you’ll be happy to know you have lots of other options to reach the airport stress free, via FlyAway Buses, public buses and light rail. Arriving in Dallas
If you’re flying with Virgin America or Southwest, you’ll be landing in Dallas Love Field (DAL), otherwise you’ll fly into Dallas Fort Worth (DFW). Whichever airport you arrive to, you will have plenty of ways to get into the city. The DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) train service departs from both airports, with reasonable tickets conveniently available from airport kiosks or the GoPass app. From Dallas Fort Worth, you can also take the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) to get into the city, and Love Field is connected to various destinations via the City Shuttle, Super Shuttle, and Yellow Checker Shuttle. Dallas Love-Field is particularly known for its many art pieces around and about the airport, giving you a taste for the city’s artistic side as soon as you land, so you might even want to linger on your way out.
